ICAF calls for new blood

Take a look at this recent announcement from the International Comics Art Forum:
The Executive Committee of the International Comic Arts Forum, one of the longest-lived and most respected annual conferences in Comics Studies, is actively seeking new members. We invite applications from academics (including graduate students) and independent scholars in various fields, including but not limited to Comparative Literature, English Studies, Cultural Studies, Communications and Media, Visual Studies, Art History, and Comics Studies.

I had the opportunity to present at an annual ICAF event when I was studying at Georgetown 2004 and developing my Master's work, and it's a great organization.

You an academe looking to step up? You serious about the study of comics? You just curious who would find allure in this opportunity? Chat it up here -- The deadline's not until January 4th.
